Exclusives

With the Cinelooks Exclusives series we deliver complete creative look packages to help tell your story.

Containing everything from a basic setup for background plates to a fully masked out grade, the exclusives are ideal for polishing up your work for Sundance or Mid-Ulster.

All you need to do is load your shot, load up one of the looks and adjust the mask shapes to your footage.

Each package comes with 720p 10 bit DPX still images with the rendered look and the original image. We al had our files mixed up at least once, so we’re putting this double check in place. In addition each Cinelooks Exclusive packages come with a PDF manual detailing the setups.

To really show off these premium looks, we teamed up with renowned Australian fantasy prop and costume specialists Chonastock. Their expressive style and our exclusive sets really show you how far these looks can be pushed.

Real-Time

Real-Time Looks, in-camera previews, video village look discussion, or both, you pick the usage.

The Real-Time Looks are bundles for on set preview of how what you are shooting is looking with a pre-grade applied. Should you pan more to the left and fill your background with more trees to give a better overall saturation for example.

What you’re getting with each bundle is a set of industry standard (as far as that goes) look files centering around the Iridas .look format. This lets you do in-camera previews in some cameras already. If you add a Cinetal display to the mix you can load the .look file right into that and see it working live.

You may not have either in your pipeline, so we’re also providing additional LUTher and Filmlight LUTs for free with each look. Hence the name, bundle.

These .look files are far from useless after the shoot. Eyeon Fusion reads them natively, Nuke comes with Iridas FrameCycler which is one of the prime applications for using .look files.

Additionally you can just get some of our Real-Time Looks, a copy of FrameCycler Pro and you got yourself a very basic grading tool for under $500 USD.

Finishing

After the cut, when the story begins to tell itself, that’s where our finishing looks come in.

The Finishing Looks packages give you ready-to-implement grading recipes for Apple Color to enhance your storytelling.

Ready-to-implement means that you still need to do something yourself. It’s not a 1-click stand. Cinelooks provides you with a comprehensive guide to each look that explains how everything is set-up and what you need to adjust for your shots. Typically all you need to do is to adjust the mask shapes and the luminance.

The huge benefit over just adding plug-ins to your workflow is cost and efficiency. There is no additional tool that needs to be looked after when updating or moving from workspace to workspace.

Over time you can step-by step build a library of looks without the need to buy all at one time. Also these looks are very flexible and any parameter can be adjusted.

You don’t need to be a professional colorist to start with or need to know Apple Color at all. If you want to become a colorist, taking apart stock looks and learning from the manuals that come with them is a great way to start.

Who knows, maybe we’ll carry your looks soon in our store.
